Howdy we’re Monrey and Theresa

Retriever Ranch began as a dream long before it became a reality. Eight years ago, we brought our first Golden Retriever, Oakley, home. From that moment on, I dreamed of a life surrounded by Golden Retrievers. Six years ago, I finally shared that dream with Monrey. If I remember correctly, he laughed at first — but before long, it became his dream too.

Five years ago, we welcomed Shelby into our family and made the decision to turn that dream into something more than just an idea.

Today, Retriever Ranch is growing. We’ve recently welcomed Holley into our home, and she will be the first Golden Retriever in our breeding program. Holley represents the beginning of what will become a responsible, intentional breeding program focused on health, temperament, and raising confident, loving companions.

We’ve both always believed that dogs bring something special into people’s lives. They are full of joy, kindness, and unconditional love — and through Retriever Ranch, we hope to share that joy with others. Our dogs are raised as part of our family, with daily interaction, room to explore, and care that goes far beyond the basics.

Retriever Ranch is also about more than dogs alone. Ranch life has always been a dream of Monrey’s, and raising cattle is a long-term goal and passion that we plan to grow into as Retriever Ranch evolves. Our vision is to build a place rooted in hard work, stewardship, and respect for animals — a ranch where everything we raise is done thoughtfully and with care.

Later this year, we’ll also begin offering homemade, all-natural dog treats and Retriever Ranch merchandise as another way to support what we’re building and connect with fellow dog lovers.

This is all still new for us — and that’s part of what makes it exciting. Retriever Ranch is a journey, and we’re inviting you to follow along as we grow, learn, and build something meaningful. Watch Holley grow, see our dogs’ day-to-day lives, and be part of the beginning of this adventure.
